I have really enjoyed the past week, although just about all of us has been sick...nothing anyone would want to hear about, but I think we are all about over it. We went to the KC zoo today - first time in about 10 years...maybe more. My oldest daughter heads back to Chicago early in the morning and I suppose everything will return back to normal. I have to get busy planning my next class and doing a BUNCH of SWAPS for the Leadership Training that I get to go to in just 3 WEEKS!! Five days in San Antonio - what fun! I plan to get busy and get stamping this weekend. I have lots of new toys to play with from the Occasions Mini catalog and Sale-a-bration Brochure. My next card class will be Feb 3 and 4. regular variety of cards - 10 cards (5 different cards - 2 of each design)for $25 or if you pay by January 28 and you can get $5 off - ONLY $20 for 10 ready to send cards!

Welcome Cindy!

Cindy has been a customer of mine for several years now and decided to take the plunge and become a demonstrator herself. She has been selling her wonderful cards at the Booktique at the public library and also some craft shows, locally. Everyone loves them, I guess, because she sells dozens each week! Whether she does this as a hobby or turns it into a business, I hope she enjoys it as much as I do. I have some customers who are now very good friends that I can thank Stampin' Up! for.

Finally, I have a chance to work on some of my own projects

Here is what I was doing last weekend...

There are 36 of these babies. They are going to become calendars for a co-worker to give for Christmas. If you have been following me for a while, you may recognize them from a class I had last December...quick and easy gifts. They are 5-1/2" square and mostly used the Big Shot.

Here is a close up showing the texture and detail. I used Leaf Lines stamp set to stamp images on the
Pear Pizzazz layer. For the layers above that I used the Scallop Square die on the Baja Breeze layer, a layer of Pear Pizzazz, then I stamped the next layer of Baja breeze with Fabulous Florets using Whisper White craft ink and added the Not Quite Navy Lattice die cut. Beginning with the scalloped square, I adhered the top layers together then I ran those through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. It really looks like it has been quilted, doesn't it?
