A couple of SWAP cards

So demonstrators often get together with other demonstrators (in person or virtually) and SWAP cards for new ideas to share and sow to their customers. These are a couple of cards that I recently did for SWAP'ing. It is using some of the Summer Smooches designer series paper. I love the bright colors! This card design can be used with about any kind of decorative paper. The punch I used is the Blossom punch that is in Occasions mini catalog.

The Stamp set that I used for the sentiment is from "" which is a Hostess set that will be retiring at the end of May. I will miss this set - it has been a favorite.

Here are a couple of cards I have worked on...

The first one is for a friend who is lucky enough to be retiring! She will surely enjoy more crafting, time with grandkids and who knows what else?

 

Don't you just love Cherry Cobbler? I am so glad that they re-vamped the colors a couple of years ago and added this one. It is so rich and elegant. The next card was one that Becky Roberts (www.InkingIdaho.com)posted to her blog and I just totally fell in love with it. I only changed the greeting...it is using the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series paper, one of the Sale-a-bration choices, and will be one of the cards in my card class on the 16th and 17th.

Whew, what a week

I cannot believe that it has been over a week since I posted. I promise I have been working on some stamping stuff, but also spending time with my mom who has not been feeling too spunky lately. We have been to the Drs twice and had x-rays and a CT done which turned up some pnumonia, so she has been on antibiotics and is feeling better but still is having some pain. We see Dr again tomorrow, so may find out more then. I also have some regular Dr appts in the next couple of weeks - all regular follow up for my post cancer checks. I am getting a CT scan myself Friday, but it is pretty routine. It has been more than two years and after my breast cancer, I was getting them annually, but I don't look forward to it - nasty tasting stuff to drink.

I have made a couple of cute cards - pretty much copied what I found on a demo site I look at frequently. I need to get where I have better light (my desk at work is really nice) and I will share them, so check back. One is using the gorgeous paper from the Sale-a-bration brochure and the other one uses Bordering on Romance from the Occasions mini.
